Soundwave to be San Diego Comic-Con 2009 Exclusive

The Official Transformers Collector's Club has announced that a reissue of G1 Soundwave will be the San Diego Comic-Con 2009 exclusive, including four of his cassettes! The cassettes included will be Laserbeak, Buzzsaw, Ratbat and Ravage. Ratbat and Buzzsaw have not been seen reissued since the days of the original series, so this is a big treat for fans who have wanted those figures for years!

Limited-edition Transformers LG Versa phone

In concert with the release of "Revenge of the Fallen" this summer, Dreamworks and LG have teamed up to create an LG limited edition Transformers Versa phone. "Michael Bay himself will be on the scene at the LG booth in CTIA at 2pm PDT Thursday to promote the phone and the movie, titled Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen." states the article. Robo-brawlers big, small in new 'Transformers'

You know "Transformers" are big when a national paper such as USAToday covers them! The article offers some first looks and descriptions of characters we've seen and not seen previously including a picture of a spider like robot they are calling "The Doctor". Of The Fallen, the article describes him as "The Fallen is an ancient robot, sort of the Transformers' version of Lucifer. He's one of the original robot aliens, and his defiance and arrogance led to his banishment into another dimension.".

On April 1st, Transformers fans were happily treated to new stills from "Revenge of the Fallen" that were not April Fool's day jokes! These came from Yahoo! Movies. Another couple were dug up by Aceshowbiz showing the pyramids, Megan Fox and Michael Bay along with a general synopsis of the movie's plot.

Transformers represented at ShoWest 2009

Transformers to be inducted into the Toyfare Hall of Fame

The long running toy magazine "Toyfare" is known for its coverage of toys for well over ten years and being part of the company that produces Wizardworld, one of the biggest science fiction, comic book and related media conventions around. During their upcoming Philadelphia convention, they will be inducting "Transformers" into their "Hall of Fame".
