Hasbro adds "Power Core Combiners" to official Transformers web site

While they first appeared at Toy Fair 2010, Hasbro has at last put up an official section on the Official Transformers web site. Part of the release reads: Expanding upon the essence of DEVASTATOR — a robot built by combining multiple construction vehicles — the TRANSFORMERS brand unveils the new POWER CORE COMBINERS expression that redefines the magic of combination play. The toys deliver an interchangeable system of robots, vehicles and weapons that escalates the level of fun and increases the number of robots within a child’s TRANSFORMERS toy universe..

Product Preview: Generations "Desert Decimation" Legends Class boxed set

BWTF has obtained photos of an upcoming Legends Class boxed set called "Desert Decimation". This four pack contains redecos of Ironhide, Autobot Ratchet, Bonecrusher and Decepticon Brawl.

It's kind of hard to place where this belongs in the categories of figures. The packaging looks very similar to the "Generations" packaging shown at Toy Fair 2010, so that's where I'm categorizing it. However, the characters are clearly from the 2007 Movie, yet the battle that is talked about on the back of the packaging seems to be in another setting more appropriate to "Revenge of the Fallen".

Either way, it's a cool look at upcoming product. I suspect this may be intended as a store exclusive since so many other Legends multi-packs have wound up being tied to one chain or another.
