Botcon 2010 has come and passed, now BWTF gets a chance to review the cool exclusive figures found at the convention! First up is an iconic piece: Breakdown in the original Generation 2 colors. Using colors like pink and teal, this figure exemplifies what was great and wacky during the early 90's.
Botcon 2010 has kicked off! Pre-registration has begun, families have begun to visit nearby Disneyworld and bar tabs everywhere have gone up exponentially. Meanwhile, BWTF has posted over 150 pictures from the Hasbro disply as well as images of the Botcon exclusives on one of the neat play tables set up at the Hasbro area. Check out the album here! More images will be added during the weekend.
Update: Sorry about the server issues earlier, all should be okay now. I've put up some coverage of the convention panels from today here. The coverage will continue on as the weekend goes along.
When Optimus Prime was known as Orion Pax, his best friend was a young Autobot named Dion. After Dion almost lost his life at the hands of the Decepticons, he was rebuilt and joined the Elite Guard as an Autobot warrior! This Transformers Collector's Club exclusive has begun to ship and now you can check out BWTF's review of this figure in the Timelines section.
The Chicago Sun Times has posted article discussing the economic boost "Transformers 3" will give to the Chicago economy. Car enthusiast web site EGM Car Tech has posted an article complete with photos of the Corvette Stingray concept that serves as the alt mode for Sideswipe. Entertainment site Aintitcool.com has posted an article that supposedly shows a physical model of a robot to be used in the filming of "Transformers 3". While I dig the Beast Machines Optimus Primal vibe I'm getting from this 'bot, it looks more like something from the upcoming Hugh Jackman "Real Steel" film. Time will tell!
USAToday has posted an article about the upcoming "Transformers 3" film. In it, Michael Bay acknowledges the errors made in "Revenge of the Fallen" and talks a bit about what's ahead, in particular the identify of a new, key villain! In part, the article states:
Tearing up the beaches, this Decepticon thinks he's got it made on Earth as he takes shots at innocents. He's Crankstart and this Decepticon has now been reviewed by BWTF! Take a look at my review of Crankstart.
