Legendary movie producer Dino De Laurentis passes away

NPR has reported that Dino De Laurentis, legendary movie producer of such films as Barbarella, Conan the Barbarian and Serpico has passed away at the age of 91. His significance in Transformers history comes in the form of his company, the Italian film distributor De Laurentiis Entertainment Group (DEG) which was the U.S. distributor of 1986's "Transformers: The Movie". The article states:

"He "passed away inside his Beverly Hills home," according to The Hollywood Reporter."

Activision announces new Transformers video game (and more)

Softpedia has posted an article regarding a recent investors call with Activision. Among the titles they announced were new games for Guitar Hero, X-Men and most importantly, Transformers! It appears the success of "War for Cybertron" was enough to justify another game. According to the article:
