Orci and Kurtzman bow out of "Transformers 3"?

According to Slashfilm (based on a post in the sometimes difficult-to-read Don Murphy boards), "Transformers" writers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman may be ready to pack up their Allspark and take the show elsewhere. According to the blog, Orci is quoted as saying “Time for fresh blood!” writes Orci.

Transformers Generation 2 Toy Reviews section restored!

When the days of Generation One passed, Hasbro made an attempt to revive the Transformers franchise through a new toy line: Generation 2, forever creating an epoch of sorts, where Transformers forged forward and evolutionized into newer and newer incarnations such as "Beast Wars" and "Animated". Read reviews of some of the figures from this line in the Generation 2 toy review section.

"All Hail Megatron" #9 and "Transformers Alliance" #4 (and more!) previews

IDW Publisher and Editor-in-Chief Chris Ryall has posted previews of "All Hail Megatron" #9 and "Transformers Alliance" #4 on his blog, Ryalltime. Also shown in his cover previews are "Spotlight Jazz", "Maximum Dinobots" #4 and "The Beast Wars Omnibus" Trade Paperback. These are all expected to be on shelves Wednesday, March 25th!

Alternity Transformers Convoy reviewed

2009 has seen the launch of a new exciting subline of Transformers: Alternity! Alternity brings back the use of real life licensed vehicles as alternate modes for Transformers. One of the first releases is Convoy (aka Optimus Prime) as a Nissan GTR! Check out his review here!

Botcon 2009 Flak revealed!

The Botcon website has released photos of the 2009 exclusive Flak figure!. Inspired by the G1 Micromaster of the same name this figure uses the awesome Cybertron Defense Scattorshot sculpt with a whole new head and awesome camo design!

Transformers Universe Cyclonus reviewed

While the name "Cyclonus" has been bandied about for a few years now thanks to the wacky Decepticon who turned into a helicopter during "Armada" and "Energon", there hasn't been a toy worthy of the name in mass release for quite some time. Thanks to the awesomeness that is "Transformers Universe", we now have a new Cyclonus toy based on his original G1 appearance! Check out my review of this blast from the past!

Stan Bush's "The Touch" back in force has posted an article regarding the classic song "The Touch", which most Transformers fans will recognize as one of the high energy songs used in the original 1986 Transformers film and went on to be featured in the film "Boogie Nights". "The Touch" will be featured in "Transformers" toys this year (though the article did not say which, most likely "Ultimate Bumblebee") and there is rumor it might appear in "Revenge of the Fallen".

"Transformers 3" release date corrected - three years to go

A few days ago, many news venues broke a story claiming Paramount would be releasing the third "Transformers" live action film in 2011. However, according to Reuters, "Transformers" director Michael Bay has corrected this statement.

According to the article: "Paramount made a mistake," Bay wrote on his blog. "They asked me on the phone, (and) I said yes to July 4 (weekend) -- but for 2012.

Wal-Mart exclusive Movie 2007 Breakaway reviewed

As the last wave of Movie 2007 figures, an Autobot escape artist extraordinaire was released exclusive to Wal-Mart. He's never been held in an Decepticon prison for longer than a few hours, and even then it was because he wanted to be there to carry out a mission! Who is this mysterious Transformer? Transformers Universe Legends Rodimus Reviewed

It must be pretty neat to be the "chosen one", even if you only get to carry the Matrix of Leadership for a couple years. Rodimus has had that distinction and thanks to that and his sleek form, he has been updated year after year. The latest is a Legends Class figure. Check out the BWTF review for Legends Class Rodimus.
