Black Friday Sales - Transformers video games!

If you've been holding off on Transformers video game purchases, and if you're brave enough to shop during the infamous "Black Friday", then you're in for a treat. According to UGO.com, three Transformers games will be on sale during Black Friday including "War for Cybertron" at $29, that's about half off the original price! The Hub has posted four new "Transformers: Prime" videos on its Youtube channel. Each focuses on a character from the new series:

Legendary movie producer Dino De Laurentis passes away

NPR has reported that Dino De Laurentis, legendary movie producer of such films as Barbarella, Conan the Barbarian and Serpico has passed away at the age of 91. His significance in Transformers history comes in the form of his company, the Italian film distributor De Laurentiis Entertainment Group (DEG) which was the U.S. distributor of 1986's "Transformers: The Movie". The article states:

"He "passed away inside his Beverly Hills home," according to The Hollywood Reporter."

Activision announces new Transformers video game (and more)

Softpedia has posted an article regarding a recent investors call with Activision. Among the titles they announced were new games for Guitar Hero, X-Men and most importantly, Transformers! It appears the success of "War for Cybertron" was enough to justify another game. According to the article:

There have been tons of Megatrons over the years, some cooler than others, but the one they all aspire to be is the original character by that name. IGN has released a commercial for "Transformers: Prime", the upcoming television show where our favorite robots in disguise return! Check the video out below!

"Transformers: Prime" preview on USAToday!

USA Today has posted an article that discusses the upcoming "Transformers: Prime" series and has a brief clip showing battle footage! The article recognizes the role of Transformers history as it states:

"In a touch that should please fans of the original 1980s series, Peter Cullen and Frank Welker will reprise their roles as the voices of Optimus Prime and Megatron. Cullen also supplied Optimus Prime's voice in the films."
