New "Transformers Universe" video at Monkeybar TV

Hasbro's media site Monkeybar TV has posted a new video in its "Transformers Universe" series. This video features Optimus Prime and Bumblebee taking on Megatron and Cyclonus as a rabbit watches on. Seriously.

Classics Legends Class Fireflight and Leo Prime reviewed

Tonight brings two new reviews. First up is a reincarnation of an Aerialbot in a new form: Fireflight! Next up is a character who has influences from "Beast Wars the Second" but was first introduced in Classics: Leo Prime. These reviews and many others are available for viewing in the Classics toy review page.

Hasbro continues its march into the entertainment industry

Hasbro, the makers of "Transformers" and tons of other toy products has been chipping away at the goal of becoming not only a toy company, but an entertainment company as well. On April 30th they announced one of their biggest steps towards this goal, the launching of a new TV network. Says Marketwatch "Under the 50-50 joint venture, Discovery will handle advertising sales and distribution, while Hasbro will provide studio-produced programming. Hasbro said it is forming a creative team to create content around Tonka, G.I.

LA Times: Revenge of the Fallen to be "mother of all robot-on-robot" violence

The LA Times has interviewed "Revenge of the Fallen" writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci. They discuss a tiny bit of "The Fallen's" motivation and whether Soundwave will transform into a cassette player. Check out the full article here.

Botcon 2009 Guests: David Kaye, Greg Berger, Weird Al Yankovic and more!

The Official Botcon web site has posted news on guests attending this year's celebration of our favorite Robots in Disguise. David Kaye, who has voiced both Optimus Prime and Megatron(s) over the years will be in attendance on Saturday. Also coming Saturday is "Weird Al" Yankovic who first became part of "Transformers" culture in 1986's animated "Transformers: The Movie" film which featured his song "Dare to be Stupid". More recently he voiced Wreck-Gar in "Transformers Animated".

Revenge is coming...to Burger King!

With the release of "Revenge of the Fallen" fast approaching, announcements of promotional tie-ins have begun as well. Burger King has released a press release detailing its Transformers promotion. The promotion will include a contest which includes food prices and a chance to win a 2010 Camaro. Toy collectors won't be left out in the cold as kids meals will come with Transformers figures as well!

As if you need an invitation? Head over to Yahoo! Movies now to see the new trailer for "Revenge of the Fallen". The scope of this movie is huge and really shows that as big as we thought the first film was, this one ups the ante significantly!

Transformers Universe 2.0 Legends Starscream reviewed

Transformers Animated Waspinator izzzz reviewed!

Linkin Park working on song and score for "Revenge of the Fallen"

The music group Linkin Park has officially confirmed that they are working on both the song and score for "Revenge of the Fallen". This was announced on the official Linkin Park blog. The band will work with Hans Zimmer on the pieces of the score based on their song. The blog states "We met with Hans last week, and heard some of the incredible things he and his guys have done with our new song.
