"Transformers" and "G.I. Joe" toy sales advance Hasbro profits

According to Bloomberg Hasbro's third-quarter profits rose 8.8 percent thanks to the sales of "Transformers" and "G.I. Joe" toy sales. According to the article "Net income rose to $150.4 million, or 99 cents a share, from $138.2 million, or 89 cents, a year earlier...". You can read the entire article here.

Revenge of the Fallen Autobot Skids Reviewed

One of the new characters introduced into the Transformers Movie universe is Autobot Skids, one of a pair of "twins". My review of this figure can be found in the "Revenge of the Fallen" toy review section.

Transformers to return to the airwaves in 2010?

Whenever a "Movie year" comes along, the media focus points its sights at the big screen, leaving the small screen neglected for a year. The pattern seems to be repeating itself again as Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner mentioned that Hasbro's three biggest money makers including Transformers will return to air waves in 2010. According to Entertainment News International Goldner stated "G.I. Joe, Transformers and My Little Pony could be returning to television in 2010.

NASCAR and Michael Bay promote "Revenge of the Fallen" DVD release

To promote the upcoming release of "Revenge of the Fallen" on DVD and Blu-Ray, director Michael Bay strapped a camera to the NASCAR Impala SS race car. According to there were two vehicles at the promotion, one Megatron themed and the other Optimus Prime themed. According to the article: "Two race cars – Jeff Gordon’s No. 24 and Ryan Newman’s No. 39 – had special paint schemes promoting the movie Saturday night.".

A Cleveland family has built a gigantic display of both movie Optimus Prime and Bumblebee as part of a Halloween display outside their home. They are 17 and 12 feet tall respectively! You can read about them here and view the video of the amazing construction of these robots in the embedded link below.

Can badmouthing a director kill a Transformers character? Megan Fox says no

Over the past few weeks several rumor outlets have posted rumors that the character of Mikaela Baines will be killed off in the third Transformers film, due in part to her badmouthing of director Michael Bay. However, a recent post on Gossip Cop states that a representative for Fox denies the rumor.

Revenge of the Fallen Smokescreen reviewed

First introduced as a diversionary tactician in the G1 series, the name Smokescreen would pop up now and again in the Transformers line as a character who became everything from a Decepticon jet to a crane. Now he's back to being an Autobot car serving under Optimus Prime. Check out my review of Smokescreen from "Revenge of the Fallen".
