Cartoon News: Hasbro Announces "Cyberverse" Season 3 Premiere Date
New Cyberverse action figures have been hitting shelves since earlier this year, but the third season of the cartoon has yet to debut. Now we have a premiere date for the third season of Cyberverse and it is coming soon! Check out the official press release and trailer below:
On Sunday, March 15 at 7:00am EST Cartoon Network premieres the third season of the hit TRANSFORMERS animated series, CYBERVERSE. Season three, titled TRANSFORMERS: BUMBLEBEE CYBERVERSE ADVENTURES, introduces new characters including Hammerbyte, Thunderhowl, Wildwheel and Meteorfire, as the war for the Allspark rages on! All new episodes of TRANSFORMERS: BUMBLEBEE CYBERVERSE ADVENTURES will air Sundays, weekly on Cartoon Network.
In the third season of CYBERVERSE, Bumblebee and the Autobots encounter mysterious new threats and unlock the ancient secrets of Cybertron as they continue their adventure to bring their planet back to life. After winning a new battle against the Decepticons, Bumblebee and the Autobots begin to rebuild Cybertron. But things are not what they seem, causing the Autobots and Decepticons to join forces to fight a new enemy. Unlikely alliances will be formed, new legends will be made, and new heroes will emerge as the war for the Allspark comes home.
Launched in 2018, CYBERVERSE follows the ongoing battle between the Autobots and the Decepticons to find the Allspark. It follows Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, Grimlock, Windblade and the larger Autobot team as they work to defeat the menacing Megatron and his team of Decepticons. Keep an eye out for some Easter Eggs and new character debuts including:
- The shuttles that the Autobots take to Cybertron are reminiscent of G1 Bumblebee's Cybertronian form as seen in "More than Meets the Eye".
- Megatron having arrived on Cybertron before the Autobots could be seen as a fun callback to Beast Machines, where Megatron arrived on Cybertron and conquered the planet before the Maximals arrived.
- The trailer gives us a look at Bumblebee's Cybertronian mode: a flying car!
- Hammerbyte makes his animated debut in this trailer.
- We get to see Wildwheel in action, cowboy hat and all!
- The Autobot Whirl appears in helicopter and robot form which is sure to please fans of the character from his appearances in the IDW Publishing comic books.
- The new Autobot Thunderhowl appears in beast mode.
- Another new Autobot, Meteorfire also makes a quick appearance.
