Business News: FAO Schwarz Flagship store to reopen in Manhattan

FAO Schwarz is one of the oldest toy stores still in operation. However, far from its grand days with a giant store in New York City's famous Fifth Avenue shopping district (and appearance in the 1988 hit movie "Big") the store's profile in New York City shrunk down to a small corner of Bergdorf Goodman in 2017 after its store on Fifth Avenue closed (it is now an Apple Store).

Those who have missed the store can now rejoice! According to NBC News the store is returning to a location in Rockefeller Center. Originally reported in the Wall Street Journal, the store is now holding interviews for performers to make the store come alive and entertain as much as it tries to sell toys. This includes dancers to play the giant piano as seen in "Big"!

The auditions began in September and the store is scheduled to open in November, just in time for the holiday season!

Note: This was originally reported by many venues in late August but BWTF is posting this news since I missed it the first time around and the reopening is happening soon.
