Music News: Generation One Soundtrack set for March 9 release

The "Generation One" theme song is one of the most iconic TV show songs from the 80's, but for years fans have gone without an official release of the music from the series. Hasbro and Legacy Recordings announced quite some time ago that there was a soundtrack in the works, but there was not much word on it until it was revealed at Toy Fair 2018. Now thanks to Kotaku we finally have official information on the record, including a release date: March 9!

This soundtrack will be limited to 2000 pieces in total over three variants: Optimus Prime (red and blue), Megatron (silver) and Bumblebee (yellow). The Bumblebee version will be a Thinkgeek exclusive. Legacy Recordings will sell the Optimus Prime and Megatron variants. The records will set you back a relatively reasonable $18.99 USD.
