Toy News: "Legends" LG-EX Big Powered stock photos and product description
When Generation One was nearing its end, Japan released a set of Cybertrons (aka Autobots) who could each become a robot, vehicle and base before they all combined into the giant "Big Powered" base! Now these classic Japanese characters are being brought into the 21st Century thanks to Takara Tomy. Today Takara Tomy listed a new version of "Big Powered" on their web site along with stock photos! These three figures look incredible and each appear to be heavy retools of existing "Generations" sculpts. Dai Atlas and Sonic Bomber appear to be based off the sculpt used for "Titans Return" Overlord and Sky Shadow while Roadfire is based off the Twin Twist sculpt. The retooling on these figures appears extensive, making this a really premium item. According to Takara Tomy's site (via Google Translate):
Three body of the strongest transformer Powered Master that appeared in Transformer Z (Zone) is the long-awaited first remake of LG Head Master Concept.
Total commander Dai Atlas can become the strongest form Big Powered by combining with Sonic Bomber and Road Fire, as well as the original like 4-stage deformation of shuttle form, tank form, robot form, base form. Sonic bomber and road fire can also be transformed from vehicle form to robot form / base form.
You can also enjoy the play in the vehicle by the head master, the base play, the cross head on play to change the head in the set.
All photos in this post are credited to Takara Tomy. Big Powered is priced at 15,000 Yen (about $132.74 USD) and is due for release in March of 2019.
