Image: BWTF Presents Combined "Phantomstrike Squadron" and "Alphastrike Counterforce" Box Art

A few weeks ago, Amazon released two exclusive boxed sets of Transformers figures from the Siege line. One was the Decepticon Phantomstrike Squadron featuring Skywarp, Shrute, Fracas, and Terror-daxtyl. The other was the Autobot Alphastrike Counterforce set featuring a G2 inspired Sideswipe, Grand Slam, Raindance and Trenchfoot. The two sets are part of the "Final Strike" story that features these two forces fighting against each other. In keeping with the theme, both sets featured box art that could "connect" to the other, creating one giant battle scene reminiscent of the artwork from the back of old G1 boxes or the front of Botcon boxed sets created by Fun Publications.

Many photos have been posted online with the boxes side by side, and the official photos show the artwork nicely. However, some of the art actually wraps around to a side panel, so many photos have lacked this "connection" between the two. As a fun Photoshop exercise I scanned the two boxes (side flap included) and carefully stitched the two images together. It took quite a bit of work to eliminate the major creases from the box and to fill in sections where the boxes have gaps. The result is attached to this news item for your viewing pleasure.
