Movie News: Michael Bay responds to criticism about Nazi flags on "The Last Knight" set

Several days ago news broke that one scene in the upcoming "The Last Knight" film will feature Nazi flags. While this in itself is not too unusual for Hollywood what was surprising is that the flags were hung at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, where Winston Churchill himself was born! Many veterans spoke out against this, however the home is actually maintained and occupied by a distant relative of Churchill, Jamie Spencer-Churchill, 12th Duke of Marlborough.

Now Producer and Director Michael Bay has responded to the convtroversy. According to Entertainment Weekly Bay has said the context of the scene will be revealed in the final film, and it sheds a positive light on Churchill. From the article:

“I just want to say, people were not fortunate enough to read the script, and they don’t know that Churchill in this movie is a big hero. And Churchill would be smiling about Last Knight,”

I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt since Nazis have long been villains in Hollywood films. And if Churchill's own descendant signed off on it, who am I to judge? I also think it would be awesome to see Bumblebee punch a Nazi.
