"Transformers: Dark of the Moon" helps Paramount top 2011's box office

2011 was a fantastic year for films at Paramount Studios. While not all of its films were smash hits, enough of were to propel them to the top of the box office charts. According to The Chicago Tribune:

"On the strength of blockbusters such as "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" and "Mission: Impossible -- Ghost Protocol," the studio took in a record $5.17 billion worldwide, Paramount announced on Tuesday."

On a related note, "Dark of the Moon" topped Hong Kong's box office for 2011 acording to The Hollywood Reporter making over $10 million during its run.
