A message from Ben Yee regarding BWTF.com

Dear fellow fans,

In 1997, I started Ben's World of Transformers out of a love for Transformers born in 1984 after getting my first set of G1 toys (which included Ravage, Rumble and Sunstreaker). After years of communicating with fans over snail mail, the web finally gave me a chance to express my love for Transformers to a wider audience. Through my site and the old alt.toys.transformers newsgroup I made friends and met people who remain friends to this day.

On January 19, 2014, the New York Times released an article discussing simplified Transformers toys for the "Age of Extinction" toy line. BWTF offers its reactions after a firestorm of internet furor has arisen over the article's contents. See what I thought of this article and internet reaction!

Introduction
It's been quite some time since I've written a "Botcon report". For the last few years I'd start one but it wouldn't go anywhere, mostly because I tried to create this editorial type thing complete with my regurgitating information from panels and so on. Finally this year I decided in one moment what this "report" needed to be and I'll tell you about that moment first.

With its increasing popularity, there are more and more events centered around promoting Transformers. This section focuses on those events such as Botcon and Toy Fair. Some events are more geared towards scifi and comic books instead of Transformers. Recurring events are listed alphabetically. One off events are listed towards the bottom in the "Other" section.
