Earlier today two images leaked on Weibo that seem to show a new Combiner being released as part of the toy line for "The Last Knight"! The Combiner is named Infernocus and is a mixture of old and new sculpts. The limbs of the Combiner are all redecos of Terrorcons from "Beast Hunters", but the torso section "Skulk" appears to be a brand new toy. The torso section also appears to be larger than the limbs, making for a more proportional figure than Abominus.
For those curious, here is the breakdown of reused sculpts:
Long after fan media departed the exciting Hasbro showroom during Toy Fair 2017, Hasbro welcomed "Transformers The Last Knight" Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Director Michael Bay and several cast members to the showroom! Thanks to the kind folks at Rogers & Cowan BWTF brings you a look at some photos from that visit!
Toy Fair 2017 isn't just providing reveals in the United States. Takara Tomy, the company behind Transformers in Japan, has updated its web site with a new section dedicated to "The Last Knight" products! There are eight figures currently revealed on the site:
TLK-01 Bumblebee (based on Deluxe Bumblebee)
TLK-03 Decepticon Berserker (based on the Deluxe Berserker sculpt)
The "Tiny Turbo Changers" are small, blind packed figures that feature characters from the live action Transformers movie franchise. These tiny figures transform in one or two steps and there will be well over a dozen to collect in the first wave. Check out this brief demo from Toy Fair 2017!
Dragonstorm is a new Autobot character being introduced in "The Last Knight". With a three-headed dragon beast mode this character is sure to make an impression so of course he has a giant action figure to match! Check out this demo from Toy Fair 2017 featuring 1-Step Turbo Changing Dragonstorm in the embed below.
A part of the "Big Game Spot" for "The Last Knight" was revealed the other day with the extended version intended to air during the Super Bowl. However, the trailer broke early so Producer and Director Michael Bay has released it online via his Facebook page! Check it out in the embed below:
The Super Bowl is generally the time for many big commercials and projects to be announced and "The Last Knight" is no exception! In addition to the Big Game Spot, Paramount and Hasbro have introduced the Mini-Dinobots! These tiny sized Dinos are each based on existing Dinobots, even taking on their names: Mini-Grimlock, Mini-Strafe and Mini-Slug.
It is not often that a director of a big budget film addresses fans of the franchise directly, but over the years Michael Bay has updated his web site every now and then with bits of news and information about his live action "Transformers" projects. Today to coincide with the launch of the Big Game Spot Bay has released a letter to the fans expressing his thoughts on not just the film, but the franchise as a whole.
