When I was a kid, I remember there being Transformers Halloween costumes. They generally consisted of a plastic jumpsuit piece and a mask, but I always wondered how great it would be to have an actual transforming costume. Now thanks to the folks at Disguise, kids can now make that dream come true with the Bumblebee "Converting Costume"!
Autobot Lancer is a new figure based on a character who appeared very briefly in the Generation One cartoon. She was released at San Diego Comic-Con 2019 via Entertainment Earth. Check out my review and gallery of Autobot Lancer!
Fans have heard about a rumored Deluxe Class Ratchet for "War for Cybertron: Siege" for months now. At the Hasbro Panel during San Diego Comic-Con they finally confirmed the figure as a Walgreens exclusive. Now thanks to the Official Transformers Facebook Page we have official CG renders of the figure and confirmation this will be an exclusive at Walgreens this Fall. The figure is not on Walgreens' site just yet but once it is you can bet BWTF will report on it!
As part of its display at San Diego Comic-Con 2019, the Transformers team made a strong showing with their "Generations" display. Several upcoming "Siege" figures were on display including a battle scene happening with Omega Supreme in base mode! Also swooping in to assist is Commander Class Jetfire! In addition to these reveals we get a good look at how figures like the upcoming Mirage and Impactor will look up close. Interestingly, the Micromaster 10-Pack revealed previously was taken out of the shelf as it was not intended to be seen just yet.
Back in April 2019, it was revealed that there would be a "Firestormer" multi-pack featuring a Generation 2 themed Sideswipe redeco, a redeco of Skytread as Slamdance and an additional Battlemaster. Now thanks to an Amazon pre-listing we have more official photos of this set.
During Toy Fair 2019, some fan media sites were able to take a photo of a table that featured several exclusive figures. Among these were mock ups of packaging for a line with a distinctive "35th Anniversary Special Edition" label. These boxes featured Optimus Prime, Soundblaster, Megatron and Bluestreak in what promised to be "Siege" redecos in "clean" colors minus the battle damage that the line is known for.
Unlike many upcoming "Siege" releases such as Omega Supreme, the upcoming Off-Road Patrol has not received a lot of fan fare. There was a reveal at Toy Fair Australia where CG renders of the figures were provided and that is pretty much it. Now thanks to Takara Tomy Mall we have official photos of the actual figures! This set features Powertrain and Highjump, each based on their G1 counterparts. The set is listed at ¥ 1,944 (about $17.91).
Since Toy Fair 2019 Transformers fans have had many photos of Omega Supreme to ogle at. However, many of these photos were partly dark photos from Toy Fair or CG renders. Now, thanks to Takara Tomy Mall we have some clear photos of Omega Supreme and Countdown! The photos not only give us a crisp look at their details, but we also get to see some pretty crazy articulation on Omega Supreme in an "action pose".
The recently released Amazon exclusive Greenlight figure revealed that Hasbro had her fellow female Autobot Lancer in mind as an upcoming release. Most fans speculated that Lancer would be another exclusive and now we have our first possible look at Lancer thanks to Hobby Korner!
