RAMJET is crazy, even by DECEPTICON standards. He's got missiles, lasers, cluster bombs, and even vibro-claws sharp enough to cut duratanium armor, but he'd rather just smash head first into his enemies. A lifetime of head injuries has left him a little muddy in his thinking, but he is super tough.

Fast Action Battlers are the successors to the 1-2-3 Transformers and Playskool Transformers, they are larger figures developed for younger kids to play with. The Fast Action Battlers generally feature simplified transformations and action features are combined with sculpting similar to mainline figures.
Claw Slash Ramjet is a redeco of Fast Action Battler Starscream. Like Sonic Shock Smokescreen, this is a redeco of one figure representing a G1 influenced character. In this case G1 Ramjet is the influence, and the result is pretty cool. This review will focus on the changes made to the figure for this release.
While Fast Action Battler Starscream is actually made up of two shades of beige plastic, they are close enough together that he looks almost uniform. In Ramjet's case, that's not a problem. This Decepticon warrior is made up of three primary plastic colors: light grey, dark grey, dark red and black. These colors are separated from each other quite a bit, creating a nice visual effect. Most of the main body is light grey including his head, chest and the area near his arms. His arms and lower legs are black while his upper legs are dark gred. The section of his upper body underneath the chest piece is dark grey.
Red, black, silver and dark grey paint decos are used to provide detail. His face is painted black with red eyes, giving him a nice dark look. Red and black are also found on his chest piece where the front part of the nosecone is painted black and the edges on the top of his chest are painted red. A black Decepticon symbol is found right on the center of his chest. Each arm is black, and the missiles sculpted into his claws are painted silver. There are also small red details near his wrists on each arm. These colors largely come from the original G1 Ramjet, although he was white instead of having light grey. The dark grey and black colors however were very prevelant on the character, especially on his wings. The G1 influence here is clear and looks great.
All of Ramjet's joints are tight and his "Claw Slash" action feature works very well.
In vehicle mode, Ramjet takes the G1 influence a step further. The way his panels work together the central body is mostly light grey with the back section slightly darker. The rear fins are black, which are analagous to the black rear boosters on G1 Ramjet's wings. Then dark red paint is used on each wing, again analogous to the same colors on G1 Ramjet's wings. The back trim section on the wings and the nosecone are black, which also serve as color allusions to G1 Ramjet. The cockpit is dark grey, completing the color analogies to the original Ramjet, whose cockpit was translucent grey. The color combination looks fantastic and does a great job of paying homage to G1 Ramjet with a 21st century vehicle mode.
Like Smokescreen, this is one of those few redecos that I would recommend even if you already own the original. It looks fantastic and is a fun figure to boot!
