Pre-orders went up today in Japan for a huge assortment of Takara Tomy's "Beast Awakening" (aka "Rise of the Beasts") offerings. Thanks to the listings, we now have lots of additional images of previously revealed figures to enjoy! This includes the Battle Master assortment featuring Cheetor, Rhinox and Skullcruncher as mini-figures that transform into weapons! Toy News: "Rise of the Beasts" Scorponok will be a Toys 'R' Us Exclusive in Japan
About a week and a half ago it was announced that Hasbro would be releasing several Rise of the Beasts figures under the Target exclusive Buzzworthy Bumblebee line. One of these figures was Scorponok, partnered with a small scorpion Battle Master style figure named Sandspear. In Japan however, this figure will be a Toys 'R' Us exclusive. Toy News: Takara Tomy Reveals "Rise of the Beasts" Kurutto Change Bumblebee and Nightbird (UPDATED)
Included in today's Takara Tomy Rise of the Beasts/Beast Awakening updates are reveals of the "Kurutto Change" Bumblebee and Nightbird. These appear to be a new type of auto-transforming figure possibly featuring a rubber band piece that is connected throughout the figure. Toy News: Takara Tomy Lists "Rise of the Beasts" 3-Step Changers
The newly published Takara Tomy Rise of the Beasts (aka Beast Awakening) site has posted images and a video showing off the upcoming 3-Step Changer (aka "Pa! Pa! Pa!" according to Google Translate) Optimus Primal and Optimus Prime toys. The Optimus Prime toy was already released as part of the Cyberverse line (though many fans figured out it was a Rise of the Beasts toy pretty quickly).

At SXSW today there was a press event focusing on Rise of the Beasts. On hand were stars Anthony Ramos, Dominique Fishback and Tobe Nwigwe.
