B'boom is a triple changing Maximal. He is a mega sized toy who was released along with the mega sized Predacon Transquito. B'Boom was also one of the first Beast Wars toys to incorporate "personality" into the toy.
Transmetal Airazor is the newest incarnation of the Maximal femme warrior. Her new form is bigger than before with some interesting new features. Now a Transmetal, Airazor is a powerful triple changing Transformer!
In 2021 Hasbro celebrated Beast Wars in part by reissuing several 90's Beast Wars Transformers action figures at Walmart! One of these was the Ultra Class Optimus Primal, representing the character as he appeared in the television show. Check out my review and gallery of this reissue. The restoration of retro reviews continues! This time you can check out my updated reviews for Beast Machines Scavenger and Silverbolt. Both reviews feature updated thoughts and new images.
Silverbolt returns to the battle as a basic Maximal. This toy is a huge departure from the original Silverbolt Fuzor toy and the results aren't as great as one may think.
Night Viper is one of the mid-2000 basic Beast Machines Transformers releases. Rather than another four legged (or six legged) critter, Night Viper adds a snake into the Maximal mix. Many speculated that the Japanese Beast Wars Neo toy Cohrada would be repainted and released as part of Beast Machines, but fans were pleasantly surprised to see that Night Viper is a whole new mold.
After many years of absence from this site, I have begun restoring the reviews that started it all: Beast Wars! This will be slow going as I have a lot of other sections to restore while putting up new content. For now, I've kicked off the restoration with four reviews:
Bantor is one of the regular Beast Wars Transformers 1998 Fuzors toys. His organic parts are a mix of a baboon and a tiger. To a large degree, this fusion works and the tech specs are written up to reflect the action feature of the the toy and the beast modes and integrate them into the personality of the character.
Air Hammer is one of the first regular sized Fuzor toys to be released. He uses a slightly different approach to transform but overall the effect is not as impressive as past regular Beast Wars Transformers toys such as Airazor.
