Toy News: Takara Tomy Posts In Box Photos of "Masterpiece" Shouki and more

Takara Tomy has posted new images of Masterpiece Shouki to its Transformers Twitter feed. These include a photo of the packaging for the figure suggesting it is packaged in vehicle mode (which makes sense given its more compact shape). We also get close ups of the figure showing its beautiful detailing and hinting at its complexity.

Video: Band Uses Traditional Chinese Instruments to Play the "G1" Theme Song

Now here's something wonderful and unexpected.  The Official Hasbro China Weibo Account has posted a video featuring a group of musicians using traditional Chinese Instruments to play the G1 theme song from the 80's!  The group is accompanied by imagery of Transformers products including an Arcee statue, Kingdom Airazor, Rhinox, Megatron and more.  Cybertron 21 on Youtube was kind enough to mirror this video on Youtube so

Toy News: Unruly Industries Reveals Optimus Prime Designer Figure

The Transformers winds up in some very unexpected places sometimes and the latest is a "Designer Collectible Toy" Optimus Prime figure by Unruly Industries (a sub-brand of Sideshow). This figure represents a version of Optimus Prime who creates street art featuring the Autobot leader holding a paint roller and his rifle having been modified into a paint spray gun.

Toy News: Official In Package Images of Upcoming "Legacy" and "Buzzworthy" Releases
