Transformers began as robots from different Japanese Transformers lines cobbled together under one banner and story. This section is dedicated to the reviews of the action figures that make up the Transformers universe starting from the original series all the way to the present day. In general, any reviews marked with an asterisk are reviews that still need to be added.
Generation One (1984-Present)
In 1984 the toy world changed forever as robots from various Japanese toy lines including Diaclone and Microman came together as one cohesive line known as The Transformers! This section will include reviews of reissues released throughout the years.
Beast Wars Transformers (1996-2001, 2021-22)
The descendants of the Autobots and Decepticons continue the war started by their ancestors in a new era where Maximals and Predacons battle it out for supremacy! This section will also cover reviews of the Vintage Beast Wars toys released in 2021-22.
Beast Machines (1999-2001)
The Maximals return home to Cybertron to find the entire world has been conquered by an army of Vehicons. Worse yet, they are led by Megatron! This line capped off the end of the "Beast Era", finishing the story begun in Beast Wars.
Robots in Disguise (2002)
Predacons and Decepticons have invaded Earth and it is up to the Autobots to stop them! Combining figures from the Car Robots toy line and redecos of other lines such as Beast Machines, this unique line was a transition between the Beast Wars and Unicron Trilogy era.
Universe (2003-08)
Consisting entirely of redecos from previous lines, Universe introduced alternate versions of popular characters along with all new characters.
Dinobots (2000 & 03)
From the Beast Machines era to a Walmart exclusive line of figures, this section is dedicated to those lines under the "Dinobots" banner.
Energon (2003-04)
The Unicron Trilogy continues. After the events of "Armada" the Decepticons and Terrorcons unite to revive the fallen Dark God, Unicron!
Alternators (2003-07)
A limited series of Transformers figures who all transformed into licensed vehicles.
Robotmasters (2004-05)
Warriors gather from across time and space to continue the eternal Transformers war!
Timelines (2005-16)
The exclusive line of Transformers figures distributed by Fun Publications via the official Transformers Collector's Club and Botcon convention starting in 2005.
Classics (2006-07)
Generation One is reborn in the form of Classics, a line that reimagines favorite characters from the era that started it all!
Universe 2.0 (2008-2010)
A continuation of the "Classics" line, focusing on G1 characters in new forms.
Revenge of the Fallen (2009)
An ancient threat returns to bring the Decepticons back to glory! This line continued the wildly successful line of movie-based toys started in 2007.
United & United EX (2010 to 2012)
A Japanese exclusive line focused on releasing figures focused on Generation One characters largely utilizing sculpts from Classics, Reveal the Shield and Generations. United "EX" was the end of the line featuring figures from the Power Core Combiners with new colors and identities.
Reveal the Shield (2010-2014)
Picking up where "Generations" leaves off, this line focuses on classic characters in new forms and use of the famous "rub symbols" to show allegiance!
Transformers Go!
A companion series to "Beast Hunters" exclusive to Japan.
Generations (2010 to Present)
This series includes updates on Transformers characters from a wide spectrum of series ranging from "Generation One" all the way to the 2020 Netflix animated series.
Authentics (2018 to Present)
"Authentics" are figures aimed at a lower price point and sold in specialty markets such as Family Dollar and Walgreens.
Cyberverse (2018 to Present)
A new continuity heavily based on Generation One with influences from across Transformers history.
Collaborative (2019 to Present)
Combining popular pop culture franchises and Transformers, this series features transforming figures based on everything from the Ecto-1 from Ghostbusters to Maverick's jet fighter from Top Gun!
Nezha Transformers(2019)
This China Exclusive line of Transformers combines Chinese mythology with Robots in Disguise for a unique adventure!
Retro Headmasters (2020)
A limited line of Titans Return redecos and retools in G1 themed packaging.
Transformers R.E.D. (Robot Enhanced Design) (2020-Present)
A series of non-transforming figures focusing on articulation, sculpting and accessories.
Buzzworthy Bumblebee (2020 to Present)
A Target exclusive line of figures consisting of repackages and redecos of existing toys with some new ones sprinkled in for good measure.
Minimates Transformers (2021 to Present)
Minimates are two inch, articulated block figures that have included licenses like Marvel, DC, Lord of the Rings, Knight Rider and more. In 2021 Transformers joined the Minimates universe!
EarthSpark (2023-Present)
The Great War is over and a new generation of Transformers is born on Earth starting a whole new adventure!
Rise of the Beasts (2023)
