Today's Transformers news rolls on with the announcement of a new animated series to be produced in a partnership between Nickelodeon and Entertainment One. Based on the description below, it sounds like this series will be more of a Rescue Bots style series rather than having the grim tone of the War for Cybertron series. This figure was first revealed back in late December/early January by Takara Tomy but little has been heard since. Via the Official Transformers Facebook page we now have our first look at MPM-12 Optimus Prime! This highly detailed figure is based on the character's appearance in the Bumblebee film from 2018. TFW2005 has shared an exciting report today, revealing that Wal-Mart will be carrying a series of "Vintage" Beast Wars figures! Previously the "Vintage" line was reserved as a title for the G1 reissues put out in G1 styled packaging at Wal-Mart as exclusive items. If this line follows suit, could we be looking at re-releases of original Beast Wars figures in "vintage" Beast Wars packaging?
In a surprise afternoon reveal, Hasbro has opened up orders for a surprise Transmutate figure! Based on the character who appeared in the Beast Wars episode "Transmutate", the character made a huge impression on fans over the years even though she only appeared in one episode of the television show. This figure is a retool and redeco of Paleotrex featuring a new head and a deco based on her colors from the TV show, this is definitely one of the most unusual releases in Selects to date!
In 2018 Hasbro teamed up with JD.com to release an exclusive figure-JD Red Knight! This retool and redeco of Galvatron was an Autobot who fought alongside Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. Check out my review and gallery of this obscure figure!
