It has been about five months since disaster struck Ben's World of Transformers. As you have been seeing on my social media channels, around May/June of this year BWTF suffered a major hardware failure. For the past five months I have been working on recovering the database, moving to a new (more modern) server and restoring hundreds of pages individually.
This past week Hasbro Pulse surprised Transformers fans when they revealed reissues of the special edition "Golden Lagoon" Transformers figures. These were based on the Generation One episode of the same name. Taking an eclectic assortment of figures, Takara Tomy had given them all gold decos featuring a mixture of gold parts and vacuum metallized gold. These were a rather limited set of figures and most fans just moved on after their initial release. Then came last week when Hasbro Pulse posted several listings for their own versions of these "Golden Lagoon"
Thanks to a partnership between the awesome Ozformers and Hasbro Australia we have an official reveal of "Studio Series" Starscream! Why is this a big deal? There have already been a couple "Studio Series" Starscreams, right? Well yes, but this is the first figure based on his appearance in the "Bumblebee" Movie! Unlike the design seen in the earlier live action films, this one is more heavily based on the character's G1 appearance.
