Earlier today both Walmart and Hasbro Pulse put up preorders for the four Vintage Beast Wars figures: Cheetor, Megatron, Optimus Primal and Rattrap! Rumors have been circulating online for weeks now that some classic Beast Wars figures from the 90's would be reissued via Walmart as part of its "Vintage" line, and now we have official confirmation via the official Transformers Facebook page! Earlier this week, Hasbro Pulse opened a new section for Partner Exclusives where a limited number of store exclusive toys were listed for sale. First up was Wave 1 of the Walmart exclusive R.E.D. series. Now the section has been updated with the Amazon exclusive "Galactic Odyssey" Dominus Criminal Pursuit 2-Pack featuring Barricade and Punch/Counterpunch!
In 1986 a curious Mini-Bot was released named Hubcap. This character never appeared in the popular cartoon but over the years he would pop up here and there in G1 based fiction. Last year, Hasbro released a version in the Generations Selects line! Check out my review and gallery of this figure.
In a surprise afternoon reveal, Hasbro has opened up orders for a surprise Transmutate figure! Based on the character who appeared in the Beast Wars episode "Transmutate", the character made a huge impression on fans over the years even though she only appeared in one episode of the television show. This figure is a retool and redeco of Paleotrex featuring a new head and a deco based on her colors from the TV show, this is definitely one of the most unusual releases in Selects to date!
One is a forgetful (but extremely skilled) trooper, the other was originally a piloted mecha who gained sentience. Together Cordon and Spin-Out are a formidable pair of Autobots! Check out my review and gallery of this Generations Selects two pack inspired by the Diaclone era.
