At SXSW today there was a press event focusing on Rise of the Beasts. On hand were stars Anthony Ramos, Dominique Fishback and Tobe Nwigwe. While Kingdom has come and gone from toy store shelves, Takara Tomy is nowhere near done with the new iterations of Beast Wars era characters! Leaked earlier this week but officially revealed today, Takara Tomy has revealed a new sub-series of figures they have dubbed "Beast Wars Vintage" (not to be confused with the Wal-Mart exclusive "Vintage Beast Wars" reissues). The first set of these figures feature redecos of Kingdom Megatron and Optimus Primal.
In a surprise reveal, Hasbro Pulse and other retailers have posted official listings for a new sub-series of Studio Series figures: War for Cybertron! No, these are not from the series that started with Siege. Instead, these go back a decade plus, referring to the War for Cybertron game that was originally released in 2010!
