Sad news came over the weekend from several news outlets including Deadline. Actress Markie Post passed away on August 7, 2021 at the age of 70 after a three year battle with cancer. Post's acting career began in the late 70's and continued into the 80's with appearances in classic shows including CHiPs, The Incredible Hulk, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, and The Fall Guy. Many fans of my generation likely remember her most from her role as Christine Sullivan in the NBC comedy Night Court. She continued to work even as she underwent treatment for cancer in more recent roles such as the ABC series The Kids Are Alright.
Post joined the Transformers world when she voiced June Darby in Transformers: Prime. At first, the role was just a befuddled mother trying to raise a teenager but eventually her role would escalate into a full blown ally of the Autobots. Post also attended Botcon 2011 and I had the honor of meeting her after decades of being a fan. BWTF sends its deepest condolences to Post's family and friends.
