Times have been tough in the toy industry and now those tough times have hit Transformers maker Hasbro. According to several news sources including The Providence Journal, Hasbro will be laying off 1,100 employees. These cuts are in addition to the 800 employees who were let go in January 2023. These layoffs are global and are not focused around its Rhode Island location. That said, they will be closing their offices in Providence when the lease runs out in January 2025. Employees at that location will be relocated to the Pawtucket offices.
