Toy News: Takara Tomy Announces New T-Spark/SYNERGENEX Series

08/27/24

Late yesterday Takara Tomy dropped a video announcing a new initiative as part of its T-Spark line of figures aimed at an older audience. In a bunch of surprise reveals Takara Tomy announced the Transformers brand will be crossing over with several brands including ZOIDS, Diaclone, Godzilla and Macross 7! First check out the video below:

Based on the info from the video and an article in Kyodo News PR Wire SYNERGENEX is described as:

This is a new series from Takara Tomy's high-target hobby label "T-SPARK." The series will feature products and content created through collaborations with the company's own IP, such as "Transformers," "ZOIDS," and "Diaclone," which are the pillars of "T-SPARK," as well as other companies' IP and brands.

The series name is a combination of SYNERGY, GENE and NEXT. We aim to maximize the synergy between our own IP and other companies' IP and brands. Not only will the combination be unexpected, but by combining the two brands, which may differ in appearance and shape, we will create new value, such as expanding the scope of play. We hope to bring excitement to fans, so that both IP and brands can prosper even further.
