Takara Tomy has officially announced a new Transformers sub-line called "Overgear" in a dramatic way: a new animated video! The short video features Ironhide getting away with classified information before the Decepticon Blackout intercepts him! In an interesting twist, Ironhide is not the live action version or the G1 version. Instead, this appears to be a new incarnation of the Energon version of the character! This is partly revealed in the video as he communicates with "Jones" (aka Kicker Jones) and his head design, which calls back to the Energon design. Check out the video in the embed below:
