Takara Tomy Mall has posted its official listings for the upcoming Missing Link Arcee figures! Unlike previous Missing Link figures, this is the first not based on a figure that saw a mass release in the original 80's Transformers line. Instead, this figure is based on the prototype of Arcee that was developed by Takara but never actually made into a figure. Part of the idea of the Missing Link line is to make G1 fan dreams come true and this definitely will do that for many fans who have seen photos of that prototype over the years.
There are two versions of the figure: C-07 "Prototype" Arcee is based on the image seen in the "Generations" books over the years. C-08 Arcee is more based on the character's cartoon appearance including a different head and weapon. Both figures are priced at 13,200 Yen (about $88 USD) and are scheduled for release in late September 2025 (in Japan). Check out the official images and info (translated via Google Translate) below:
Transformers Missing Link C-07 Arcee (Prototype)
Lost dreams link together across time! The imaginary Arcee (prototype) appears in the "Missing Link" series, a virtual reprint of what might have existed in that era. What if the unreleased Arcee was commercialized in a fully poseable version? With this image in mind, it has been commercialized with a completely new design, while retaining the size, texture, and nostalgia of the time!In 1986, the product development had progressed to a non-transforming styrofoam prototype, but the phantom Arcee, which ended up not being released, had continued to be developed as it was. Based on this assumption, the ideal Arcee toy has finally been released, with a new transformation mechanism implemented to match the size and basic structure using some die-cast alloys to the toy from 1986, and the ideal Arcee toy has been created by incorporating movable joints for posing and gimmicks depicted in the anime. The phantom pieces that Transformers fans around the world have been waiting for are finally filled in.
This product reproduces the initial setting version color based on pink/orange, the same as the styrofoam prototype at the time. The head design is also based on the initial setting. While thoroughly pursuing the styling of the time read from existing materials, each joint is configured in a modern style. It is possible to pose it freely. A small laser gun used in "The Movie" etc. is included as a reproduction from the anime scene, and in vehicle mode it can be attached to the bottom or rear of the body. The robot body also comes with the familiar "secret emblem", and when you warm it with your fingers, the legion mark will appear. Foil stickers with a design reminiscent of the time are also included, and you can stick them on as you like. The back is equipped with a joint hole for a stand (sold separately), so you can display it in an action pose. The package illustration is a new drawing with the image of the time in mind, and a collection card with the same illustration is also included. A thorough homage to the time, from the packaging to the styrofoam tray, is paid to the style of the time, bringing back the excitement of opening a Transformers product in the 1980s.

What if the unreleased Arcee was commercialized in a fully poseable version? This product has been created with a completely new design, keeping the size, texture, and nostalgia of the time intact! In 1986, the product development of the phantom Arcee had progressed to the point of being a non-transforming styrofoam prototype, but it was never released. What if the product development had continued as it was? A foil sticker with an image of the design of the time is also included. The back is equipped with a joint hole for a stand (sold separately), so you can display it in an action pose.
