Transformers have had decades to cement themselves into pop culture and they sometimes pop up in the most unexpected places. On the February 16, 2022 episode of the Jeopardy! National College Championship one of the clues was "These toys that became a TV and Movie franchise sprang from Japanese toy lines called Diaclone and Micro Change" which of course references the Transformers brand! Megan Sullivan, a Junior at the University of Virginia provided the correct answer (or really, question given the show's format) earning her $400 in the process! Sullivan would go on to win Final Jeopardy! to move on to the next round.
