Takara Tomy Mall has posted a listing for an upcoming Missing Link set featuring a redeco and retool of Bumblebee and a straight up redeco of Cliffjumper. The decos in this set are based on how the characters appeared in the G1 cartoon with Bumblebee featuring a "cartoon head" instead of his "toy head" from the 1984 figure. The "Missing Link" series is a virtual reprint of what may have existed in that era. The ninth installment includes a set of "Bumble (Anime Type)" and "Cliff (Anime Type)" under the name "Cybertron Hero Set". New parts have been added, and Bumble and Cliff are back in their anime coloring!
This is a set of the products that appeared in 2024 as Missing Link C-03 Bumble and C-04 Cliff, with some changes to the design and coloring changed to the anime image. Bumble's head has been changed to a new design inspired by the anime. The window part has been changed from the black of the regular version to a clear blue mold, giving it a more dense feel. While the structure uses die-cast in some parts, the movable joints in each part allow you to pose freely. Bumble transforms into a Volkswagen Beetle, and the car mode is officially licensed by Volkswagen. Bumble comes with a laser gun and Cliff comes with a photon rifle. Each can be stored inside the car mode. Cliff also comes with the bazooka that is so prominent in the anime. The body also has the familiar "secret emblem" attached, and when you warm it with your fingers, the legion mark will appear. There is a joint hole on the back of the robot for a stand (sold separately), so it can be displayed in action poses.
